This was a switch . . . I got to be on the other side of the camera and was interviewed by Lesli Bales Sherrod of the Knoxville News Sentinel last week. I talked about my career as a photographer, pursuits as an artist, and my new business adventure with my business partner Mr. Billy Sams. The article is linked to this photo:) Here is a link to the story from The Knoxville News Sentinel http://www.knoxnews.com/knoxville/life/lesli-balessherrod-south-knox-photographer-offers-business-specialist-services_16834590
Here is a look inside the Ripley’s Aquarium of The Smokies located in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. I enjoyed the aquatic life seemingly all around me without ever getting my feet wet or my camera of course. These are all shot with my Canon 7D with only ambient light. It was a bit of a challenge as the aquarium is naturally very dark with only the light form the tanks illuminating the fish. I hope you enjoy them and happy first day of Spring 2015.
Here is Chris and his new boat . . . people really do win stuff. Chris said, he peeled off the sticker on his cup from Hardee’s last summer, went online to fill out his info, and a few months later received the call that he had just won this brand new Tahoe boat from Tracker Boat Center in Sevierville. I like a good thick burger from Hardee’s and for sure love boats . . . “Perfect job for Photographfee:)” I hope you enjoy these photos and if you get the chance The Bass Pro Shop in Sevierville is incredible . . . it’s a well rounded family adventure of fun. If you like that kind of stuff:)
This was a special photography photo session that ended in a proposal on the roof top in downtown Knoxville, TN. I hope you enjoy these images and I wish my two friends who got engaged, with me their working, the best that life has to offer them. Continued happiness!!!
Here is round four of inclement weather that has fallen in East TN. We woke up this morning with five inches of snow covering everything in sight . . . The snow seemed to be wet and was very nice to walk in; footing was definitely better when you stayed in the thick layer of snow as opposed to the slushy tire tracks on the roads. I hope you enjoy these photos and are staying warm today:)
Temperature was around 6 degrees while I was taking these photos at 8:15 AM on Thursday, February 19, 2015. I caught the light just after the sun had topped the ridge to our East here in South Knoxville. I shot photos for about 15 minutes and had to retreat back to the warm house because my exposed finger tips were starting to catch the the first painful feelings of frost bite. I think some of the photos reflect the sharp teeth of Mother Nature’s cold bite this morning. I hope you enjoy them and are nice and warm wherever you are today.
