James White Fort . . . 18th Century Food Preservation

These are photos I shot for the Knoxville News Sentinel on Saturday, August 22, 2015. The gentleman teaching the course was super informative and has information that will be lost very soon as generations of people never learn the basics of food preparation. I myself feel very confident with the basics of cooking that my Granny Gryder passed on to me. However, I am always learning more. Granny always said, that the old ways of doing things will all come back in my lifetime. Yep, Granny was right about pretty much everything. So here are some photos I shot at the James White Fort in Knoxville, Tennessee. Hope you enjoy them and feel free to email me if you want me tell you how to make biscuits like my grandmother taught me. It’s worth learning:)
