Sabor Catracho . . . Latin Cuisine

Hey, this was one experience I will not soon forget. The food here was unlike any I have ever experienced. The basis for the cooking stems from Central America, Honduras as well as El Salvador. I enjoyed the change of pace and the fullness of flavors without any one spice, pepper, or meat being too strong; just a melody of full flavor. Wow, I want to go back right now. James White Fort . . . 18th Century Food Preservation

These are photos I shot for the Knoxville News Sentinel on Saturday, August 22, 2015. The gentleman teaching the course was super informative and has information that will be lost very soon as generations of people never learn the basics of food preparation. I myself feel very confident with the basics of cooking that my Granny Gryder passed on to me. However, I am always learning more. Granny always said, that the old ways of doing things will all come back in my lifetime. Yep, Granny was right about pretty much everything. So here are some photos I shot at the James White Fort in Knoxville, Tennessee.
